A legacy of service exemplifies the life and character of Anthony Floyd Jr.
Anthony Floyd Jr. served for over 28 years as an honorable member of the Philadelphia Police Department, retiring as a Police Lieutenant and continuing his career with Executive positions as Deputy Chief of Police with Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Deputy Chief of Police with Colwyn Borough Police Department and Chief of Police & Director for Public Safety at the historic Lincoln University.
Driven with a passion for Economic Development in Urban communities, Mr. Floyd has served for over 2 years as Chair of the Middletown Odessa Townsend (MOT) NAACP Economic Development Committee. Under his direction and leadership, the organization forged strategic partnerships with the State of Delaware, Office of Supplier Diversity, the Delaware Department of Transportation, Wilmington Workforce Development Council, the Delmarva Black Chamber of Commerce, and Coalition of Black Trade Unionist, and is a member of the Small Business Focus Group with the Delaware Community Reinvestment Action Council (DCRAC)-focusing on opening greater opportunities in access to capital for Afro-American and Minority enterprises.
For his commitment and service in Urban Communities, in 2015, Rev. Anthony Floyd, Jr. received the most prestigious Community Service Award in Philadelphia – The Honorable Lucien E. Blackwell-Guiding Light in the Community Award.
Currently Anthony serves as the Executive Director of The Philadelphia Council of Clergy and is the CEO of FloydCorp Security Solutions, LLC; a certified Eastern Minority Supplier Diversity Council (EMSDC) company.
